Meet Andrea Corsia, Spa practitioner
Today, we meet the effervescent Andréa Corsia from the Spa de Frégate.
Born in La Seyne-sur-Mer, Andréa grew up in a family of horticulturalists, surrounded by the rose fields cultivated by her parents.
Andréa loves wide open spaces and her dogs, horses, goats, donkeys, and chickens on her family farm. Andréa enjoyed a fulfilling childhood in the countryside, but she was also quite vain and played at being a hairdresser. It was in middle school that everything became clear. Not pursuing general studies, she hesitated for a while between hairdressing and wellness, and earned her CAP (vocational certificate) and then her Bac Pro (vocational baccalaureate) in Aesthetics in Toulon. Ready to enter the job market, she faced a daunting task, having no professional experience, fresh out of school!
After a few experiences in restaurants, bakeries, and other fields, Andréa took her chance at the Spa de Frégate. "When I applied to a four-star hotel spa, even though I believe in myself, I didn't think I'd get a response. And yet... Le Frégate Provence is committed to giving young people a chance, and it's so true! The Spa Manager trusted me and gave me that opportunity, a huge thank you! Here I am, a therapist at the Frégate Spa, starting in April 2024. Hired seasonally, I quickly landed a permanent contract. I'm quite proud, I must admit; this profession has been close to my heart since childhood," says Andréa, her voice filled with emotion.
"The world of relaxation is perfect for me! I love providing well-being to our clients: they come to unwind and leave feeling refreshed. When I give a massage, I give my all to help the client let go as much as possible. During a facial, which is more technical, I see the complexion brighten, the client escape and fully enjoy the moment. That's our goal!" she smiles passionately.
"I work in a fantastic, supportive, and attentive team; it's truly wonderful to feel confident in such a serene atmosphere. And the setting is simply breathtaking—the view speaks for itself. We are incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by nature, with views of the golf course and the sea, and all the spaces the resort offers," Andréa concluded with a smile.
